From prison, Bosco writes:
My crime consisted of too sensitive a social consciousness. People are either not familiar with history, or they have not yet learnt that revolution is but thought carried into action. My cry of malediction and of truth was a strike not for myself. Not a crime against humanity, though a strike for humanity; appealing to the depths of human nature itself. My action was a tumultuous outburst of new hope, where necessity knows no law.
